Landlords have responsibility obligations

Working utilities, proper insulation, pests and rodents shouldn't be something you need to worry about on top of life. I will be the Mayor who stands firmly on the side of the renters that finance the life of their landlords. I want to keep you in your residence and off the street.

On that note, you as a renter also have responsibilities of keeping up with payments and keeping the place clean, which can be difficult sometimes when garbage is only collected twice a month. 

I propose two times a year, once in spring and once in fall, a city wide residential garbage pickup and removal for homes and neighborhoods where once every two weeks isn't enough to keep up with demand. When garbage collects up in someones home it's going to get dumped one way or another, and I'm sure you dont want it dumped in the side of the road, or around a doublewide parking lot dumpsters. A clean community starts at home. If you're willing to make the effort, we're willing to help.
